Food on the Way Home

I was so hungry after work that I had to grab something to eat on the way home. At first I didn’t know what I was in the mood for, but I saw this Chinese place and I though I’d check it out.

I walked in and the hostess seated me. I decided to order soup for an appetizer and the lemon chicken for my entrée. It was kind of weird eating alone in a restaurant. The place was completely empty, and it was really quiet. As soon as I got my food I took a big bite. I didn’t realize the food was steaming hot and I totally burned my tongue. It sucked.

By the time I finished my chicken I was so full that I decided against desert. But I knew my wife was at home and would probably be hungry, so I ordered another lemon chicken to go. Hope she likes it.
